True, but it is hard to ignore that the a certain class seems to be centralized/condensed to one generation specifically. And that generation also consistently and energetically supports them to the day they die.
Members of Green Peace protested the use of seal fur and meat, the act of “seal clubbing” and the sale of seal products. This was one of the main sustainable economies in the North. As a result, the communities living there were forced to engage in oil drilling and seismic testing in order to earn money. Still, the fact that seal products are no longer profitable have plunged these indigenous and rural populations into poverty.
The moral of this story is when you see some sort of big moral outrage about something, whether the moral outrage is coming form the left, right, or middle, whether it’s “save the animals,” “save the children,” “save religion,” whatever, you need to do some sort of basic, casual research into what type of bandwagon you’re thoughtlessly jumping on.
Maybe if nuclear power plants didn’t meltdown sometimes and render dozens of square miles uninhabitable to human life by scales measured in geologic time then Greenpeace would support them.
People over 55 own 73% of the US, heavily outweighing billionaires. Boomers alone outweigh billionaires assets by nearly 10x. Any time you see BlackRock, Vanguard, etc as major shareholders of a company, that means it’s mostly boomers’ 401ks and pension funds. Billionaires themselves are mostly old so really they’re just the top of the iceberg of a much larger problem.
Gen X might be the last generation to retire in the US, for millennials it’s starting to look unlikely. There just aren’t enough people to exploit anymore. Ideally everyone should have 3 kids, but as an interim solution you can start importing workers from 3rd world countries.
Other western countries may not have it as bad with the imbalance, but most are growing worse over time.
No war but the class war.
You’re just working for the billionaires when you post divisive nonsense like this.
Well idk, most of the billionares are rich and white and old also. Meme still kinda fits.

I don’t think members of Green Peace switched to supporting it.
Hello there.
Members of Green Peace protested the use of seal fur and meat, the act of “seal clubbing” and the sale of seal products. This was one of the main sustainable economies in the North. As a result, the communities living there were forced to engage in oil drilling and seismic testing in order to earn money. They also spread a lot of FUD about nuclear energy during a time when it would have made a significant difference in slowing climate change
Maybe if nuclear power plants didn’t meltdown sometimes and render dozens of square miles uninhabitable to human life by scales measured in geologic time then Greenpeace would support them.
Yeah, the saying at the time was “A supermodel in Hollywood bats her eyelashes and a village loses their jobs.”
Not sure of the relevance to my argument.
Members of Green Peace supported, and still support, global warming, even though they don’t know that’s what they’re doing.
From your story the communities were the ones supporting it. Maybe Green Peace just wanted them to die out?
Fuck you man
Fucking lol.
That’ll learn’em.
?
