Township here just doesn’t want a shaggy lawn. It still takes them awhile to send the letters. In summer we get it mowed once a month (or once they send a warning), winter we just don’t mow. It doesn’t grow enough.

I think simply existing made it worse! And conflicting everything as a kid, just freeze up entirely.

I like sub rolls, but we have AC sub rolls here, the best kind. So a sub roll with roast beef, some mustard, some tomatoes, some cheese (pepper Jack? Cheddar?) and some homemade candied jalapeños. Yum yum.

We mow just often enough to stop the township from sending angry letters. So about once a month of that.

If you are going long term, they’re going to age before you. Are you ready to take care of them while you’re still healthy? Prepared to watch them get older? I dunno I’m just maudlin though, my husband is 16 years older than me, thinking about the future makes me scared for him.

WIC (was) insanely specific when I worked grocery 20 years ago. I mean down to oz in the paper things, and the machine would get grumpy if the cereals were off that even by a little. And everything had to be scanned, then scan in the papers and hope it worked. Loved the ladies who made that the entire section with each paper on top of its respective foods. Easier.

Snap, even back then, was just a card and convered almost everything (no hot, no prepared, no alcohol, no smokes)

Most cats I’ve had will sniff the nip, roll a bit, then go “ehhh boring” basically.

It’s miserable. I hate hate hot weather. I feel like I’m made of sugar and just melt in even the mildest heat.

Heaven’s Vault is a game about Aliyah and her traveling the rivers of the universe and finding artifacts or writing written in ancient and translating it. I like it, some prime find parts very janky. Can’t die, I’ve tried in the few areas she can take damage.
