  • We should never have stupid post scores, they never serve a good purpose if only to inflate a user’s ego. It’s just a stupid internet toy for people to play with. Why have something around like that?

Anytime I ever see a place have a comment or post section with scoring systems, it is already a trainwreck. You will not have a good time engaging with said community because everyone’s thoughts will be tied to this dumb thing. Supposedly, these scoring systems are meant to encourage weeding low-effort posts by highlighting more good ones. Except, people have fucked with them so much, it doesn’t even matter, so its purpose is moot and it should be removed entirely.

  • Yes it should be different, not replicate the bullshit from Reddit.

Are you sure of that? I’ve monitored and check over the things I’ve said. I’ve noted that a lot of people really dig the shit I have said (evidenced from lots of upvotes) because that’s something either they would think or say themselves or what some agreed opinion others would say themselves.

That’s not a really good acceptable form of discussion, that’s called hivemind talk. That’s parroting what others say even if your intent is not to copy. It’s not strictly routed to Spez, it is what the users themselves that have crafted the community around and we’ve got years and years that can prove that, evidenced from what people say who come here disgruntled from Reddit who would share their experiences.

So because that the entire Fediverse operates similar in vein to Reddit in this fashion, the Fediverse has already failed.

  • I’m just going to put it this way.

People will find a way to be violent.

So we take away their guns, what are we down to? Sharp weapons.

We take away their sharp weapons, what are we down to? Blunt objects.

We take away those, what’s next? Creative ways people can get with non-conventional ways of harming others.

What then? And if we somehow regulated that or controlled it, people can get violent just by their hands alone.

The point again of the matter is, people WILL find a way to get violent, even if you take everything from them such as weapons.

  • Your answer right here, is why people need to think a little about age gaps. Like, I’ve heard and see people date where one is 21 years old and the other is like 32. Perfectly legal, however, that is a giant gap of this experience and power. The 32 year old will be in a considerably different worldview than the 21 year old and it’ll be completely jarring to function as a normal relationship.

  • Um, WireGuard and Port-Forwarding are needed and is important.

WireGuard uses cryptography to establish secure connection, both routed or bridged.

Port-Forwarding is needed to let others connect with you, but that varies on purpose. Either way, they’re needed tools at times when it comes to VPN.

If neither is available, your VPN is just as good as ban-evading from social media sites.
