This was narrowly avoided by an unprecedented reversal in Canadian politics in the 11th hour.
Edit: I also improved the title.
Fuck tankies too. Many Canadians are understandably concerned that a guy slightly to the right of the status quo which gave rise to Poilievre is not going to make anything better for us.
To be fair, we basically just elected a Biden-style neoliberal who is slightly to the right of Trudeau. As affordability continues to gradually decline, our Trump (Poilievre) or a similar guy will be even more empowered. We’re basically a few years behind the USA right now and your right are actively trying to speed it up.

In the meantime, I have no concern for Carhartt’s bottom line when we have Big Bill and Tough Duck as alternatives.

The province’s own report said we just need to make better use of our land. In too much of Ontario for too long, zoning has restricted most homes to be inefficient single family housing and suburban sprawl far from peoples’ jobs. We need missing middle housing, duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, and greater density.

It would be the longest tunnel in the world under the widest highway in North America.
And all experts say the tunnel won’t even “fix” car traffic in the city.
OPCs are not fiscally responsible but are savvy at using populism and culture wars to win elections.

All ridings where bike lanes were threatened by Ford and his unqualified transportation minister have flipped from conservative to NDP and Liberal.
Bill 212 didn’t get a single delegate in support and experts from every industry have categorically said that removing protected bike lanes will worsen car traffic and increase road death.
He shortened the debate period and rammed it through regardless, tacking on an amendment to shield the province from lawsuits as a result of removing safe infrastructure, an admission of guilt.

Bloomberg is rated as “lean left” despite being owned by billionaires Warren Buffet and Michael Bloomberg, and multinational investment management companies Blackrock and Vanguard.
Postmedia’s National Post and CTV News are rated as “Very High” factuality.
Meanwhile, The Toronto Sun has the same “High” factuality rating as The Toronto Star and The Narwhal. Not to mention that the National Post “leans right” as much as the Toronto Star “leans left”. The Narwhal is purportedly as “left” as Breitbart is “right”.
Our FPTP electoral system enables and encourages majority governments on a minority of votes.
Poilievre was on track to this exact scenario which was narrowly avoided by an unprecedented reversal in Canadian politics.
Regardless of your opinion on the party, we then nearly handed the Liberal party a majority on a minority of votes too and effectively turned parliament into a two-party system by gutting the NDP to avoid a conservative government (vote splitting and strategic voting are also encouraged by FPTP).
