This may have been posted already, but something super similar happened to me with my mom 😂
I was I think 15-16 and I was dumb and horny and so I bought a wireless vibe. I wanted to clean it properly and disinfect it (I’m kind of a clean freak), so I put it in a container full of isopropyl and set it outside, because of the fumes. This was the dumbest thing I could have done, because:
- It stopped working after that 😭
- My mom found it, took it out of the isopropyl (I left it there for like 2 days), washed the alcohol off and was like “Hey…I washed this for you…” and let’s just say I didn’t talk to her for a while out of pure embarrassment 😂
I was young, dumb and horny. Now I’m just dumb and horny 😆

Yeah… soaking something like that in IPA for days is not a good idea. That alcohol is gonna do a number on any rubber it comes into contact with, and depending on the percent damage the plastic too which could be really bad. Treat IPA like a solvent, not a normal cleaning tool.
