You could then theoretically just use something as Void Linux with GlibC, or Gentoo with GlibC, or something like that. Even a minimal Arch Linux image.
Nothing theoretical about this, I’ve just stopped making images with alpine, 200MB of storage won’t change anything (can be optimized really) and a lot less weird problems.
It will change everything if you don’t have a big (in capacity, not in physical size, lol) disk. Even worse with the current crisis on hardware prices.
Docker took off because Ubuntu can’t run current software. Now you need multiple copies of an up to date Linux visualized just to keep it interacting with old software on a base system we insist we need.
If all your docker images prove that an up to date Linux can run, then why not just make the main system up to date and you won’t need docker as much.

You can get weird problems due to musl when trying to use alpine with software that wasn’t expecting it, what else would you want?
