Here’s hoping that a special election happens, wherein a credible politician like Count Binface replaces this piece of shit.

You know, when I saw the Greens doing well in the polls and Reform ahead like a year ago, I knew it was a matter of time before Reform would scandal themselves out before any general election. Now the British public have to wake up out if this nightmare and stop voting Tory or Labour.

Not that I actually believe in electoral politics at this point…

It was never a question whether this corrupt russian asset is corrupt, or russian asset. The only question is whether he’ll be finally punished for that.

Oop, sounds like Clacton’s having another by-election.

One can only hope they don’t vote for the joke candidate this time.

I’m not sure about the voters of Clacton. They had the chance to know how f-ed up Farage is, and they still voted him in. Which tells me that they have a majority consisting of idiots (who do not understand what Nigel Farage is doing) and assholes (who might understand what he is doing, but still vote for him).

Reform supporters for the most part aren’t fans of thinking. They are scared specifically of people who occupy the same physical spaces as them who they see as not in their tribe, something which they learned from their parents most likely and then had reinforced by billions of pounds of propaganda via every possible media source the mega rich can access. Being concerned with anything beyond that requires effort which is not what they’re in the business of. This isn’t even said with judgement, this is just what’s happening.

Like GOP in the US, RN in France, AfD in Germany, etc. Right wingers everywhere love the stupid. Lack of education and understanding is the best fertilizer for fascism.

And they’re all taking Russian money and getting help from the Russian troll farms.

Were Ukraine to drone those troll farms, you’d see a rapid drop in support for those jackbooted bulletheads across all of Europe and probably the US as well.

It’s more an Authoritarian thing than a Right thing, it’s just that currently Auth-Right is what the Epstein class are pushing.

The Khmer Rouge were as hard left as it gets, and the Cambodian genocide was almost entirely fuelled by the notion that educated city folk weren’t true Khmer.

You’d think £1 croissants mandated by law would be a clincher, it’s a real world policy that should speak even to bigots.

Croissants too foreign for the Clactonians. You’ve got to speak French to even say it out loud. £1 steak bakes and you’ve won for sure.

Socialist here. Don’t disparage a good Greggs steak bake. A bit more than a quid, but still decent value.

Sadly, it’s harder to find decent cheap croissants in this country. I’ve had far better for a euro in provincial French railway station cafes.

If I had to live in Clacton, I’d probably hate everyone too.

Though a fourth of the voters in the by-election chose Binface, so there’s at least a glimmer of hope that they’re not all miserable tossers.

Navalny was caught on video with treason from seeking/accepting Mi6 money to destabilize Russia. It is actually more democratic to jail corrupt traitors than for establishment to protect corrupt manipulation of voters, which is the more likely outcome of protecting rather than exterminating Farage/Reform’s political relevance.

Any media who actually do fact check and follow a journalistic ethic is good.

BBC became controversial because it did not call the Gaza genocide what it is, but its etics guidline is not to judge and only report what it can verify (and clearly say when it cannot). So if I strongly disagree with them, at least I can understand why.

RT, on the other hand, doesn’t bother with all that ethics. If that’s what Russia want you to believe, it represents it to its viewer as facts.

            😄

I’ll let you in on a secret. The BBC doesn’t need to explicitly be out and out propaganda itself because the whole of “western civilisation” and its ideals are the great propaganda. The BBC is merely a tiny part of an enormous propaganda fever dream that grips the world as it destroys the world.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm51qp2r_SQ . In terms of sources for British establishment reaction, my bet is that it will be ultra pro election interference, and any agitation over reform is just “a smear campaign by corrupt party in charge” that treats labour as media treated Putin during the punishment for treason.
