    They won’t, and will eventually update it to whatever the GNIS says it is. Which, if I’m honest, is what mapping companies should do.

    Don’t get me wrong, it’d be pretty cool for Google/Apple/Microsoft to give a middle finger to Trump by specifically making exceptions in this case and the Gulf of Mexico. But at the end of the day I’m not too mad at companies for passing through exactly what the GNIS says. We need to attack the problem at the source, not the map itself.
