Anything fun or interesting going on? Relaxing, doing chores, listening to music, playing games, reading? I wanna hear about it!
Not much this morning. Just on my laptop with a coffee next to me downtown. For this afternoon though, probably just getting back into language learning to keep my brain active.
This evening though, gonna do a run by the lake shore. I’m also gonna message a bunch of friends I haven’t talked to in a long time, because I have been pretty bad at reaching out and hanging out with people this year.
Made baked potatoes and antipasto salad while family did a few chores. Played Wingspan. Now playing Sushi Go. Will do an art later. Only thing that would make the day better is if it was cool enough to go for a walk.
I’ve been looking for more 5 player board games for my weekly board game club, and I was looking at Wingspan! How is it, is it worth picking up?
Well, this morning, I’m nursing a hangover, and learning an important lesson about making bulk cocktails: water them down, because there’s no need for ice if you keep bulk cocktails refrigerated. Also, the pumpkin spice espresso martini recipe I’d made several months ago came out annoyingly viscous.
But it was delicious otherwise, and I’d ended up drinking an entire bottle on my own last night. Luckily it was only ~50 proof.
I’m hard addicted to the Subnautica 2 EA, that’s been eating up most of my free time!
I didn’t have much expectations and I have to say it’s blown my socks off story, gameplay and graphics wise. It’s just like I opened Subnautica 1 for the first time again and I’m all for it.
Rolled down 80km of Italian alps today on the Alpe-Adria cycling route. Probably the nicest part of the route. Between Villach and Carnia including some 50+ km of the most beautiful rail to trail I’ve been on. With good weather as well. Honestly amazing day.

Sulking as my mother cleans my room to try and fix my mess. Now I can’t do my plans in the order that they go into, and I can’t do them out of order because I overthink.
Putter around in the garden while the pups and the hens frolic in the yard, then off to work this afternoon. Work is a doggie daycare/boarding/training facility and it’s a rather slow weekend, so basically it’ll be some cleaning but mostly 8hrs of chilling with a pack of dogs what’s going to be a lovely spring afternoon. I have no complaints.
Norway’s constitutional day today, so started the off at 8 with canon shots from the castle where the royal families resided in the 11-1200’s followed by a speech from the mayor, then a parade through the city for the annual retelling of some of the towns heroes and legends from throughout history, and then hotdogs and ice cream and coffee in the sun before going home for breakfast and cake, and then the children’s parade through the streets from home just before 13. Now it’s gaming time while I listen to the party of the celebrating russ next door in the background.
Same. Gratulerer med dagen.
Gratulerer med dagen 🇧🇻
Just finished a LAN party. I’m the chairman of the nonprofit that arranges it. Everything went smooth. So smooth I had bad anxiety the day before we started lol. The aula we rented is cleaned, and the extra chairs and tables we rented have been picked up.
Before the pandemic we used to have close to a 1000 guests. But unfortunately big LAN partys are dying, so this year we were only around 70.
I think we’ll keep a smaller size, but aiming for a bit more than 100 next year. Because at this size, it’s still really fun without all the extra stress and workload that comes from arranging a really big party
I got a few chores to do, then I’m going to sit down and do an experiment: I’m going to convert a guitar I just got got from a steel string guitar to a nylon string guitar.
It’s an a 3/4 size, all mahogany acoustic, and it sounds good, with good definition in the mid range, and nicely balanced highs and lows, it’s just a bit harsh for my ears. I already have a beautiful 3/4 size that I like, so I think this conversion could mellow out the tone of this new guitar, and give me a sound I don’t already have.
I’m also going to change the nut, saddle, and pins from cheap plastic to bone. That should help, too.
I’m going to start a new homebrew experiment making watermelon cucumber hard seltzer with lemon zest and a splash of apple juice. It probably needs sweetener after the sugars have become alcohol to bring back the watermelon flavour and maybe some mineral salt to give it seltzer character.
That sounds delicious 😮
I hope it turns out well!
National holiday, so celebrating with family.
Gratulerer med dagen!
It’s Sunday. I will clock in to work at 10am. Working 8 hours, massaging 5 people. It’s painful & my back will start to hurt like hell after the second client, I’ll be deliriously in pain by the time I get to clients # 4 & 5, unable to articulate thoughts into words, and the pain won’t go away until I wake up the next morning. Clock out at 6pm. Take a nap. Meeting a friend about 11pm to carpool to a beach 2 hours south of here, then I can sleep some more & wake up at that beach then enjoy a week there.
Just got back from our camp where I’m doing renovations. It’s only accessible by boat so all supplies have to be loaded in the trailer, brought to the boat, loaded in the boat, brought to the camp, then unloaded onto the dock. Makes for slow going, but the peace and beauty out there make up for it. Today, I’m going to church, picking up groceries for the week, then heading back to camp.
Breakfast time. Than gotta go to the social centre to prep it for its 12birthday.

I find the light and color here to be extremely pleasant to look at.
Thanks, I surely do. I believe human brains are set to feel good around wood, greans, earthy colours so that would check out.
The type of breakfast people in movies would eat one bean sprout from and off they go.
spoiler
Enjoy your day
