Both are pastes made of mashed beans (peanuts and chickpeas are beans.) They also have a similar nutrient profile and are both used for similar dishes.

You know the difference between chickpeas and garbanzo beans?

I’ve never paid to have a garbanzo bean on my face.

You know the difference between ketchup and peanut butter?
I don’t have to go to the doctor when I catch up.
