Today I went on reddit with a throwaway, one of those times when it’s useful, you know. Please don’t shame. Anyway I decided to take the temperature and opened a few random posts from the front page. The antifascism is there still, bits of it. But the discourse is mostly neutered, complacent. Ignorant. Hateful. There was a post showing SpaceX’s rocket doing a controlled landing, called “Musk’s rocket…” and one single comment going “SpaceX’s rocket, not Musk” and the replies to that comment were the most vile billionaire simping you can imagine.
