Sadly, that’s not how NATO works. An attack against one is an attack against all, but that doesn’t include disputes within NATO itself. If the US would leave NATO first, article 5 would apply.
Allthough I would for sure stand by Canada when that happens. I might be a weird Dutch guy, but I have 15 years experience in the navy and sailed with-and on the HMCS Charlottetown once.
If he attacks a NATO country, that might do it. At least that’s my hope. As a Canadian, I hope NATO protects me if Trump invades
