    Cannon wrote that though it is true that special counsels have historically released reports at the conclusion of their work, they have done so either after electing not to bring charges in a particular case or “after adjudications of guilt by plea or trial."

    So basically what she’s saying is you can’t release it because he’s guilty and hasn’t been convicted. That’s what I’m seeing here. Which is interesting considering she’s the biggest reason he was never convicted.

    I want to see those files just as much as everyone else but, if this had come from a different judge, I don’t think we’d see it as quite so egregious. If the prossecution made a habit of releasing materials about a suspect when they’ve been blocked from prosecuting we would be pissed.

    That said, I can see an argument that these are very special circumstances.
