I’m not about to hang around and wait for the government to decide whether or not I’m allowed to be happy. So I’ve ordered a vial of enanthate. Hopefully it gets past customs, but if the internet is to be believed it probably won’t. Still, I might have my transmission fluid in a couple of weeks!

I’m looking forward to it but also nervous. Not because of the changes, but more because I’ve been miserable all my life and what if it doesn’t make me feel better?

If it doesn’t work then no harm will be done, if it does - and it probably will - it’ll all be a positive. Nothing to lose, and everything to gain. For me personally, HRT made life tolerable. The grey tinted glasses I’d been wearing came off and I stopped being depressed and bothered by smaller things.

It’s not that I fear negative effects from it, it’s more that I’ve pinned a lot of hope for the future on it working, and if it doesn’t then I need to do some very serious work on my mental health that I just don’t have the energy for.

Same I wish you the best. I started feeling a bit better generally. But then again, I’m don’t know if this is just because placebo, mental gymnastics or just knowing that I’ll be able to express myself better.

My dysphoria is almost entirety biochemical as far as I can tell. So it should have a positive effect, but there’s always a small chance that the underlying cause of my symptoms is not related to gender and the hormones won’t be what I need.
