the difference is really just having kde desktop, which some prefer over gnome

20·2 months agowhen did behaving like a cunt become normal? companies used to have at least a shred of integrity, if only to not get into trouble legally. nowadays they are indistinguishable from the mob, i’d trust the word of organised crime more at this point
could be, maybe expectations went up too

Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•The internet provider on my dorm explicitly allows legal torrents
4·2 months agothx for clearing that up! in Europe at least, consumer protection laws cover downloads (“you’re a moron who doesn’t know what you’re actually downloading and whether it is legal”), but seeding == distributing, which is a punishable offence

Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•The internet provider on my dorm explicitly allows legal torrents
2·2 months agoAllDebrid retains files for 30 days and must be seeding a ton (how would they get high download speed otherwise?), what am i missing here?
the caching of files also helps, since they’re only leeched once, then downloaded from their servers by potentially more than one user
don’t forget chat control!

18·2 months agodebrid services for the win! just let someone else torrent it for you, and download it from them.
AllDebrid costs €3 a month and saves you any legal headaches.

3·2 months agoI’ve seen some of your posts, just a suggestion: don’t make people search stuff, just put them right in the post
“more videos in my posts” - couldn’t find any in your history
“follow me on bluesky” - couldn’t find your handle
-> this is how people lose interest
yeah, it’s the “standard” cv in the EU, never used anything else really
i just filled out the Europass template really
