absolutely. gas, rent, and groceries just costs so much now, it’s terrible.

maybe less, though i’ve also been spending less time on social media like that lately anyways. though i do like lemmy, reddit has a lot more content in general and subs for my more niche interests (mostly battlejackets), so i do find myself scrolling there a fair amount. it tends to be a more conscious decision though, which is good, and i tend to stick to only a few subs that i really like. less mindless scrolling, more hunting for inspiration and conversation.
wtf this is actually true though 💀💀💀
wait what 😅 context?
seconded! this one was excellent
thanks so much! this looks super awesome :)
hi, do you think you could walk me through how to download something like this or point me in the direction of a guide or something that could? i’ve been using lemmy just on browser but would be interested in something like this, i’ve just never installed anything like it before and don’t quite know what to do :) thanks!
i’d LOVE to switch from using Apollo for reddit to Artemis for lemmy tbh
yiiiiikes i definitely did miss that!
imo the novelty of john oliver will wear off soon, and people will want regular content again. so long as mods stay firm that regular content is not allowed, users will be dissatisfied and lower their engagement. though it’s not a perfect plan (people could just use different subs), it’s better than nothing
was that the bit about all of this blowing over or did i miss something?
same. i’d like to spend most of my browsing time here on lemmy rather than reddit if possible, but i doubt i’ll fully leave anytime soon. unless my favourite communities (r/battlejackets, r/visiblemending, r/posthardcore, etc.) migrate, i’ll be going back from time to time for them and their like minded user base
i was under the impression it had to do with something like “dying” of embarrassment but i’m not really sure
