Pretty sure they’re making a joke

And if a human had drawn it, they’d likely have the penguins doing more than just standing there with their beaks closed.
They’d probably have their arms raised, doing a ritual, rather than literally just saying the words.
I like to save memes from Lemmy to share with friends, and my messaging apps won’t send webp’s. I use Jerboa and when I long press on the image it says what file type it is. If it’s webp, I either sigh and move on, or if it’s a really good meme, I screenshot it and crop it. But it’s a pain.
Ironically, this post’s image is also a webp
Depends where in the world you are

It’s the male version of “foid” which is short for “femoid.” I’ve never heard or seen “moid” before, like you say. I would have thought that female incels would be on the side of male incels, thinking that women were the problem, and the reason they couldn’t sleep with anyone is because the pretty women are all sluts and taking all the men or something

I tried Niagara at first, but wanted something FOSS and switched to KISS Launcher which is similar. It’s search-based, like Niagara. My friend bought the Niagara launcher and loves it, but it’s not for me

I was 8 years old. My teacher asked “What is one hundred times one hundred?”
I raised my hand and said “Ten thousand!”
“No, it’s one thousand. Ten times ten is one hundred, and one hundred times one hundred is one thousand.”
“But… It’s ten thousand. Can I show you on a calculator?”
“No! Sit down, it’s one thousand. I’m the teacher, I should know.”
I later got a calculator and showed her and she didn’t apologise.

The weirdest part was I kept thinking 3-year-old games were “new.”
My friend would talk about a game and I’d be like “wow yeah that’s the new one right?” and they’d say “it’s two years old now there’s a sequel”
Just checked out Quillnote, they’ve archived the repository as it’s inactive. Quillpad looks to be the main fork. I’ll check it out, thanks for sharing
You can get browser extensions to have more control over video speed
The ant-smelling trait is a genetic thing. I have a co-worker that can smell ants, but otherwise their sense of smell is unremarkable
thatsTheCatch@lemmy.nzto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Are you lonly? If so, what are you doing about it?9·6 months agoI was feeling disconnected from my friends for quite a while. I find I have a hard time keeping up with people, and that usually ends up meaning I am no one’s best friend.
I’ve done two things:
- Organised a (mostly) weekly poker night (not for money but for snacks). Any board game would work. It gets us in the same room and we have a grand old time. This is the highlight of my week. It really helped to have something to look forward to each week when I was feeling depressed and meaningless.
- Started sending my two closest friends one (1) meme per day tailored to them specifically. It’s rare for me to message anyone, but this keeps me in contact, even if it’s basically like a poke on Facebook. It keeps me fresh in their heads. It usually ends up sparking a convo about this or that. It’s led to me being invited to a couple of fun events, which feels really nice, because for a while there I was barely invited to anything.
These two things, while simple, have greatly increased my mood and has gotten me much closer with my friends than I was before, as I had drifted apart from them.
I think the key is that a large in Australia and a large in America can be vastly different.

Balatro could be good. Terraria I think is a bit tricky to learn unless you have a friend guiding you. It requires a lot of looking up the wiki which I think isn’t ideal for someone getting into video games.
There aren’t enough of us to form a gang 😭
