Cover your ears for the well spoken poison, don’t believe your lying eyes. It was they who blew up their own pipeline and main asset towards Europe. Sure the US is bad now, but it was oh so good before Trump. Von der Leyen is of the people and fixing things for working class Europeans. And the Baltics are of course level headed, a kind of political avant garde for the continent. It’s like Stoltenberg said: peace through war. European unity now, never mind the missing clothes!

For those who don’t want to go the full *arr or debrid route, using the qbittorrent client with its built-in torrent search is a low effort way to circumvent having to visit torrent web sites.
It’s hard to go back after Sway/I3 with pywal coloration, when everything is so sluggish in comparison. It’s amazing to see gnome and KDE adding like a second to launch/quit of common applications. Tried hyprland, but animations seemed choppy (beefy AMD desktop), has that changed?

No Herr officer, I was just trying to download my favorite distros, and I don’t know where all that Metallica/Disney/Nintendo came from.
Why can’t browsers treat torrents as just another protocol for downloads, so that if you haven’t got a default set for torrent out magnet mimetypes, it just downloads it in the included download manager?

This isn’t reddit, but lemmy.ml, as in Marxism Leninism, and I’m too tired to go hunting for basic media imperialism 101 articles to argue on the internet because some guy said “src plz”. The source is me, ok. This is not an academic paper, go find your own sources if you wanna dig in. I’ll even help you out: Google Scholar the terms “associated press” and imperialism and soft power. Or better yet, just fucking read Lenin’s Imperialism, highest stage of capitalism. This is basic shit that anyone from of the 50+ countries US empire has invaded knows.

A hundred times yes. AP is inseparable from US imperialism. It projects the Pentagon’s version of reality to a global audience. Through sheer volume it floods the airwaves to the detriment of other countries’ own news agencies, sets the agenda, and is integral to US hegemony, as soft power.
