They’re authoritarian and they hate the west. Of course they’re appealing to communists.
Western commies idolising brutal authoritarian regimes is nothing new.

Sounds like they’ve successfully created a safe little echochamber. Wasn’t that the point?
You are the only one who decides what gives your life meaning, and you decide what counts as “waste”. If your meaning is keeping up with people who have achieved big goals without working hard to achieve big goals of your own, you’ll probably end up envious and miserable. A lot of people like doing that so you’ve got plenty of company to wallow in your misery with if that’s what you want to do.
I’d suggest finding another form of meaning.
“No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man”
My go-to is an independent place near me that does excellent falafel. They do kebabs and fried chicken too, but that’s more so-so.
There’s no KFC here. A local chain “Fly Chicken” is similar, except better (IMO) but also more expensive. 13.50€ for 10pcs hot wings. Norway is expensive in general.
Hell yeah you can blame the people. They chose to use those platforms, and they choose to stay with them as they grow ever shittier. They’re the ones enabling platforms like reddit.
Reading reddit and now kbin and lemmy about stories like this one makes it easy to see how socialist regimes so often turn to authoritarianism.
Followed. Don’t let me down!
/s is like explaining a joke you just made right away.
Idk. That always seemed like a classic redditor thing to do: giving money to redditcorp just to spite some stranger.
But then again, the admins are very petty and juvenile. Huffman especially, going so far as to ghost-edit user’ comments.
Marking the sub as nsfw affects their ad revenue, that’s is the only reason they care.
Doing stuff like posting pictures of suggestive veg or John Oliver seems like a way for mods to protest without driving as many users away.
You’re kidding yourself if you think it’s a negotiation tactic. When the revolution comes, such revisionism will get you executed by true believers.
But at least you’re useful to them for the time being. Someone needs to radicalise the people who will carry out the purges.
I dislike seeing radicals joke about murdering their enemies. It dehumanises them which helps extremism takes hold.
Of course that is the point of such jokes, but you shouldn’t be surprised if people call you out on it.
Let’s demonise a subset of the population and joke about murdering them just like my ideological comrades did in the 20th century! Look how provocative I’m being.
Who are these donors and what does “eating” them actually entail?
I’m surely misinterpreting you, because it sounds like you’re suggesting murdering people over SoMe bullshit.
But that’s okay today? At least in my social circles it is. Just talk about it to whichever friend you have that demands you answer immediately. They are being unreasonable.
I may be overthinking it, but I feel like bringing up those kinds of details unprompted is more awkward. Like you’re hiding that you did see something.
Just say you can see into their bathroom and thought they should know. If they ask what you saw, or if they look absolutely mortified you can assure them you didn’t see anything like that.
They were not forced, they were pressured. The mods caved to the threat of being replaced, showing everyone that having that little bit of power was always their main priority. I didn’t expect more from dog-walkers.
Problem is that people disagree on who’s the candy store owner. “Let’s make housing a human right” may look like candy if you don’t fully believe in their actual plans to make housing available at reasonable prices.
Just look at how the reddit protest ended. Once threatened with losing their status as mods, they all caved.
Money and power are powerful motivators, and the mods work for free.
