@claim_arguably My favorite personal site is https://henry.codes/. It definitely counts as “indie” but since it’s made by a professional designer it doesn’t quite have that old web feel if you know what I mean. I think my favorite in that style would be https://anhvn.com/. @bruhbeans RNG. Also “fun” is subjective. Some of it is just cultural too. Mastodon has a certain “vibe" that has persisted since its early days while Lemmy’s vibe is more imported from the more fun/wild days of Reddit.
@somegeek No reason you couldn’t put more than 4 in a /top4. Or do /top. Or a totally new slash page of your design! slashpages.net is but a very unofficial guide on a few known slash pages. It isn’t meant to be the decider on what does or doesn’t count. I have a (very much work in-progress) /top4 page and I’ve already linked to other lists I have that aren’t strictly 4-in-length 🤷♂️
