This is my thought. I don’t know why I would ever end up with a mac, but if I did I would want Linux on it.

Thanks for bringing this back to my mind. My landlord is looking to do something with the “lawn” and I would rather plant native grasses since we are in a dry climate. Neither one of us wants to water or mow. I have been looking at things but maybe here I can bounce some ideas off folks who live in a similar climate.

They are pretty friendly and also quite considerate
Apt description!

I really like jumping spiders. They are fun to be around and have in the house. I just wish they were more common here, but instead we have widow spiders that make me nervous when I work around them. I just try to pretend they are friendly, too…

Very interesting to me that asteroids that are not that much larger than a human can form/stay together! Let alone be landed on. How much gravity would we generate in space?
Both of these guys are too wrapped up in corruption to care, in my opinion. Really, it’s good US didn’t win because it would lead to more problems. Or maybe it is just delaying the problems? At this point it is clear FIFA can be bought. Multiple times now. Not sure the exact situation of Qatar but it isn’t a good look.

I thought this was a pretty new thing, and I have been using Linux longer than it has been around. Clearly I have not hopped distros enough.
Ya Belgium didn’t need FIFA integrity to win this one. That late fourth goal had to feel rough for US! Hopefully this will make FIFA and US leadership restrain from this activity in the future but I have no hopes for that.
When they tell you your shoe is untied bit you thought it was time to limbo!

I remember reading about something like this 20 years ago that seemed promising, but ended up only handling non plastic waste. Specifically waste from turkey processors if I remember correctly. The article said something about anything into oil, but it didn’t work out that way. I’m glad that folks are still researching this, but we really just need to have less plastic waste.

I did not expect to see John Waters in this article.

I have no excuses! Thank you for pointing this out. Not sure what my issue was earlier.

Interesting choice by Voyager. But it is nice that there are apps available for fediverse users who want them!

I’m not sure what you mean. I don’t use voyager, and find it to be off putting that voyager would share a link in such a way that is essentially an ad for itself.
I shared the direct link for the rest of us 🙂 it doesn’t seem that ! is needed anymore.

I find it frustrating that the same author wrote both of these articles, published one day apart, but made no connections between them.
Edit: I couldn’t read earlier…

I wonder why voyager does this?
Ya, part of the reason palm down is important is that if a dog does bite, it is structurally easier for us to turn around and away. But at that point it’s just nasty stuff and nobody wants that. We want happy dogs! So far I’ve only been bitten twice and and no skin was broken (small dogs).
I really feel this. My job has me interacting with the public a lot, and sometimes they have dogs that want to come to me for pets or to say hi. I don’t always know if they are friendly and just have to position myself both to be attacked and to defend myself. It almost always leads to confused dogs. I’ll pet them a little, but won’t let them on me. Too risky in the places I work.
It is pretty great when I see camper and dogs again, and I know they are friendly, and the dogs seem to recognize me, and then we can dance haha.

Incredibly apt comparison. I would like to see how folks who want this bill would react to your proposed reframing but am unsure they would be capable of fully acknowledging it.
Isn’t this a trope? I could well be off haha, but if so I wonder if this is where it started.
