8·8 days agoMo has a history of keeping initiative system alive and using it for left leaning policy while continuing to put gop officials in charge of everything. I wouldn’t read too much into this.

That left panel is kevin nealon and victoria jackson in an snl skit. Not sure which inspired which though.

sorry just saw this. I was referring to mo state politics, not national.
Specifically, that we put policies in place via initiatives that fly in the face of standard R philosophy but then are surprised when the Rs that we also elect (in MO) don’t want to follow through.

There are dog harnesses that tie into the seatbelt if you ever want to go the other way with this. we used to use one for our boxer and it helped make him less of a distraction and calmed him down re: the car shifting his weight around.

Technology@lemmy.world•Spotify fans threaten to return to piracy as music streamer introduces new face-scanning age checks in the UKEnglish
8·1 year agoI’ve been on tidal for a few months now. It’s not as feature rich as far as integrations and sharing a link to a track for your pals is hit or miss but it seems to have all the music i listen to and sounds a little better than spotify for the artists that upload max quality.
I did the import from spotify using their suggested vendor and only like 20 out of 8000 or so songs didn’t transfer because they didn’t have the artist on tidal.
It’s a bit silly sometimes though, the citizens put initiatives on the ballot that Rs hate and then vote in all the Rs expecting them to implement the stuff in good faith.
We are one of the last states that can still do ballot initiatives. That’s how weed happened anyway.

Was so easy to swap over to tidal. (not perfect, I know).
I’ve even gotten a family plan and offered family what amounts to free service.
I’ve sent tutorials on converting their libraries using a super easy service that’s still less $ than just continuing to pay for spotify.
They are still on spotify because it’s easier than giving a shit.
