I’m not talking about uses of Excel as a serious database, though. 🤷

I’ve tried OnlyOffice for personal use and it’s just okay. There are some things that I consider basic that I tried to do and either they didn’t work or it got super slow/laggy/crashed.

This is a good suggestion which could work in some cases for sure.

My answer isn’t going to be helpful, because I can’t remember specifically what I was doing, but even for a small personal project a year ago, I tried to do something I consider basic, and OnlyOffice (what I was trying out at the time) couldn’t handle it and was ridiculously slow.

It does mean ignore in BE. To deem unimportant/not worth bothering with.

In my opinion the headline is unclear, possibly deliberately in order to engage clicks.

Are there any actually good replacements for Excel? As an intermediate/advanced user, every alternative I’ve tried to date pales in comparison. I can’t see anyone in my industry switching away from MS because of this, as things currently stand.

Edit: I didn’t expect so many replies. I use Sync (I know, it sucks and is dead) and it didn’t inform me I had replies, so I’m only just seeing them, apologies. Can’t get to everyone though.

For those who think we’re using Excel as a database, not really. Can’t get into specifics regarding industry, but personally I use Excel daily for a variety of things, none of which is data entry. I build stuff to help calculate and solve issues; I’m not following a specific process in most scenarios. 🤷

How did I miss this post?! I have a duty here as a fujo/dan. *rolls up sleeves*

1. Doukyuusei: This one is a movie. It was the first BL anime that I watched and actually liked. Devoured the manga after.

2. Given (Season 1): This was a turning point in my relationship with BL. Before this anime, I had only really read/watched old-school rapey BL, so I thought it was always like that (with the exception of Doukyuusei, which I thought was a one-off). This series showed me that BL was much more than that, even though it gets a bad rep.

3. Yarichin Bitch Bu: What can I say 😅 It’s definitely not for everyone, but I enjoy it because of how crazy and ridiculous it is. Plus it helped me find my #4 pick…

4. Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai: The quality of this adaptation is actually not that good, imho. It’s carried by the story and vibes, which were more than good enough to capture my attention and spur me on to seek out and read the source manga.

That being said, there aren’t very many good BL anime, because it’s niche and so whenever there’s an adaptation (which is relatively rarely), the resources it gets assigned are usually low, and so production is subpar. Manga is where it’s at.

Anyway, gonna go rewatch Doukyuusei.
