You’re right about this - as a US / Canadian dual citizen, getting a new citizenship is quite an ordeal and not everyone who applies is approved. The nursing experience you mentioned in a separate comment might be enough to qualify for a work permit and then permanent residence. I know that various provincial governments up here are quietly putting in immigration policies that severely cut immigration numbers, but focus heavily on recruiting healthcare workers.

He’s not taking on Trump. He’s undercutting and backstabbing PP so that he can take over leadership of the CPC at some point in the medium-term.

For all of his many shortcomings (which, yes, there are a lot of them and many of them are pretty awful), I’m proud of how he’s handled this. I hope that he enjoys a peaceful and happy retirement with his family.

I’m not saying that governments are the most trustworthy institutions in the world, but as someone who tried to be an early adopter of blockchain from both a tech and a financial perspective, I immediately assume that anything that has the word “crypto” in it is deeply flawed and inherently untrustworthy.
