Half of my library is encoded with libopus, it compresses better and retains quality at lower bitrates. The other half is not opus yet because I can’t be bothered to hunt for flacs to convert, since lossy->lossy conversion degrades the data…

Summer. I can’t stand being so cold you need to roll yourself into 5 layers of hell itself. It takes so much time to get into your snowdiver attire, that by the time you’re all set you don’t want to go out anymore. But you still have to go and when you arrive you’re all slimy and sweaty under your clothes, when you take the clothes off the sweat will take a considerable amount of time to dry meanwhile you have to walk around drenched in sticky slimy sweat and be really cold.

God forbid you ever have a winter full of compacted snow haha no buddy. Temps WILL drop even if just for a day, rain WILL drizzle onto the snow. Get ready to dance baby because now EVERY single path you take is coated with THICK layer of ice, and that shit is the most slippery surface you will ever step on. I say step instead of walk because you most certainly will plummet your face into the ice a good few times. Now you can’t even exercise outside.

Don’t even get me started on snow, it’s only exciting until Christmas. Combination of snow and blanket gray sky for 4-5 months makes me want to hang myself.

Software devs copying bad design practices such as littering in my $HOME directory with their “.appname” directories (Firefox, Microsoft, every other python library with a dataset, I’m looking at you), creating useless frameworks every few years, and the most of all cheese. I’m a crazy bitch for cheese.

I’m mostly subbed to technical discussions and memes, so I would say about 30% are negative. Mostly due to politics, biases, racism, sexism I saw in the general feed (“All”, or whatever it’s called) and other stuff reddit is famous for. Usually porn/gallery communities are the least negative, and tech related communities are 50/50 cus such is tech life.

“Loneliness epidemic” would be too easy of an answer. Other than that, I think the darkest reality of the “modern” world is that there is still barbarism everywhere you look. People get killed for bs, the poor get poorer due to the greed of the rich ones, the innocent suffer hell on earth.

I’m keenly aware of my weaknesses. And honestly, the only strength I have (or is perceived by me this way) is the ability to put the knife back into the cupboard, instead of my own chest.
