Flippanarchy@lemmy.dbzer0.com•If we wanted death and destruction we would just support the status quo
43·2 days ago1 in 5 human deaths. If you compare it to total deaths humans cause it is minuscule. We kill 3 trillion animals a year (mostly for pleasure) vs the 4 million human deaths from fossil fuels.

13·6 days agoThe last 60% of the message is about yourself. It might feel like you are just explaining yourself but other people perceive that as you defending yourself because you think you were right and shouldn’t have to apologize. Focus on what your friend said, how they might feel and how you are going to try to make them feel more comfortable going forward.
Yet most humans support putting animals in death camps by buying animal derived products.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•"Farms use more water than Al data centers" OK, I'll go without Al and you can go without food and we'll see who lasts longer
22·9 days agoAlthough your claims might be true (we’ll see) they don’t address the argument you replied to which is that:
If you think that someone using AI is wrong because of the water or ecological impact then you should think much worse about people who chose to eat a meat burger instead of a vegetable one because the extra water usage and ecological impact are many many orders of magnitudes bigger than an AI prompt causes.

1·16 days agoFarmers (and by extension the people who pay them) are exploiting animals.
I don’t think I used the term brainwashed in my comments so not sure why you’re attacking me for that, but if you are really continuing to harm animals only because someone used a word you don’t like that’s cause for some introspection.
