3·2 个月前Yes, corruption was a big issue with past governments which eventually led to people being pushed off the edge.
It sparked protests which turned deadly last year. The government were ousted and a new government is in place. We’ll probably never know the extent of how much corruption took place, since it’s been a norm for so long.
The new government is under a younger leadership and they won on a pledge to steer away from corruption and nepotism. But the jury’s still out of how they keep their word.
I hope they have plans to address these issues that need immediate attention and be less reliant on foreign aid moving forward. I also hope we don’t fall into debt trap.

It’s likely a joke post as it says “If you eat this carrot, your car will run non stop. dm”
It’s the Nepali symbol for rupee “रु” and also the text underneath is in romanized Nepali language.
On iPadOS, with dark mode, when you use back gesture in safari at the edge of the screen, the whole UI glitches to a white screen. The flash startles and is very annoying.
Has been happening ever since 26.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How many hours do you spend on the computer/in front of a screen?
1·8 个月前I use workrave on my computer to remind me of regular breaks. But then, I switch to my phone during those breaks. 🤦♂️
One thing I have done is increase the font sizes on the phone and browser (my most used app), so I usually have it in a distance. Having big fonts looked weird at first, but then I got used to it. Hopefully it helps a little.

I saw this feature on the list. Does it warn you when you go higher or lower than the target zone? I use Opentracks and I don’t think it has this feature.

It runs okay, but starts to rattle under load and at random times.
I tried to get the fan replaced but couldn’t find a replacement, in local stores or second hand parts market. I looked at online retailers but they wouldn’t ship to my country. lol
My main laptop is 11 years old.
poor old fan noises
Which time do you exercise? I feel being tired really helps, so exercising in evening might help.

6·11 个月前Interesting bit:
Samsung fans are already protesting in the comments and some are certain that the photos were manipulated. Ice Universe is actually one of the more controversial tech observers, having also made several critical comments about Samsung in the past, but we don’t want to accuse him of deliberate manipulation. Incidentally, the Vivo X300 series will officially launch in Europe in just a few days, as has now been confirmed.

Partially, I think. There is an joint venture on creating an independent European search infrastructure. I have heard Qwant using it for the French market but not sure about other regions.

Didn’t expect to see Nepal on the bright side at first, because of the dark shade on that part of the subcontinent.
But after zooming in.
Woo, Nice!
