lemminer@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What is the difference between 'Instance' and 'Community'?65·2 years agoInstance of lemmy like lemmy.world, lemmy.ml or beehaw.org are the servers which host the software running lemmy. Communities are the hosted on those instances.
It’s pretty obvious if you go through the docs.
Appreciate this but by what I’ve observed that many communities have a lot of people subscribe to them but have no posts.

lemminer@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•(Linux users !) What was the first Linux distro that you used ?English3·2 years agoThe very first Linux? That would be DSL (Damn Small Linux).
I don’t know whether it still exists but in 2003-ish, I was looking for something on-the-go and came across DSL.
I recently (2 years now) started using Linux as a daily driver again. Had to learn a lot of new things. This time someone on GamingOnLinux adviced me to start with Mint. But it wasn’t for me. So it’s been a great journey.
I thought you were trolling. I didn’t even realised since I’m using liftoff.
lemminer@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•how can I check which instances my instance (lemmy.world) has defederated from? Is there also a way to check which instances have blocked lemmy.world?2·2 years agoI asked this same question on !support@lemmy.world but didn’t got much attention https://lemmy.world/post/1149974

lemminer@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Anyone else feel like ~99% of their life was kind of wasted?English2·2 years agoNo. I’ve been in that insecure position. I just realised its not worth my time. Look forward.
lemminer@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Anyone else feel like ~99% of their life was kind of wasted?English3·2 years agoWhen you know you don’t want to do that, then why are you doing that?
lemminer@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Anyone else feel like ~99% of their life was kind of wasted?English5·2 years agoYou’re not alone in that regard. No one guided me either. But I self taught myself the skill I wanted to persue. And after 7 seven years in, I just gave up. Honestly I’ve no regrets. My school mates are doing way better than I ever could. I’ve no shame where I took my life, because it was my own decision.
I don’t think you have to bound yourself to a purpose in life. Better invest your time and energy in something you enjoy. Build some skills.
