Mb means megabits, kind of like 1 million bits. MB means megabytes, so 1 million bytes, whis is not quite the same, as one byte is 8 bits.
The numbers seem quite okay actually, which is surprising, since most of the time torrent download speed is also limited by peer upload, or maybe I just remember the old times when that was an issue, it’s been a moment for me.

Warlords are able to do that because they already start from a position of power, exploiting others and making them act against their own interests. This is one of the core problems “fixed” by anarchism.
Does this mean this will never ever ever happen in an anarchist society? No, there will always be threats. But disregarding anarchism entirely just because it can’t fix something that is fundamentally unfixable hardly seems reasonable or fair.
It’s not that I don’t understand the logic. It’s that I don’t believe scare tactics lead to peace. I agree that short term I it might scare of Putin, and that’s obviously good, but it’s a bandaid, not a solution, and one that, IMHO, is not easy to get away from.
Also, I find it sad that whenever someone mentions peace he gets ratioed and called a Putin apologist (not here but I see it a lot).
It is possible to want peace and still be against Putin. I get that it’s a sensitive topic and intense times, but we just keep alienating and polarizing more and more people. We need a better approach.
I’m all for supporting local markets, but in the grand scheme I find it a bit pointless, when there’s absolutely no plan or intention from anyone to deescalate the situation. I guess that’s the point, so big bucks can be made, but I can’t help being a romantic and hoping for long term peace

It’s quite optimistic to think people would read even that, but imo it’s not an issue of understanding. In my experience, people pick a side and stick with it. Most people cannot be convinced of anything.
I read Blood and Iron by Katja Hoyer before I started Weimar, which is a very brief beginner friendly account of the years before the first world war and the Weimar republic. It’s a good introduction to set the stage for the ultimately failed first German republic.
The Weimar book is much more thorough, going into a lot more detail and nuance, which I feel is worth it for one of the most interesting and defining times in modern history. Definitely worth a read, though I’m not sure if it’s been translated to English.

I think everyone’s news feeds are full of everything Trump’s administration is doing. I personally have not seen a single mention of anything being done against that, though to be fair I am not American. If there are indeed protests of any kind maybe it would be worth mentioning them, it’d certainly help me and I assume others feel a bit more optimistic.
