To be fair, HDR gaming is pretty bad on Windows, too. (Unless - so I heard - you use RTX HDR, which is still a workaround AND you need a new-dish NVIDIA card, which I don’t have.)

Wow, this is quite an interesting read, because you can write almost the same thing - word for word - about Germany. It’s the same overall in Germany with a few differences like time (it has been going on for a lot longer here) and some of the left are a bit different.

I thought they said they are aiming to at least not be more expensive than the Index? So 1000 USD might still be in the ball range, but it might very likely be less expensive.

Not viable for competitive games or (for me personally) any games at all. Too much input lag and often too blurry graphics.

My university actually teaches about the “Meger Endgame theory” (yes, my professor had fun with that one), which states that industries will consolidate until 2-3 global market leaders dominate. So uhh, it’s not just you. Idk if that’s good or bad news for you haha

Just a few more games are needed and some applications and I’d be good to go as well.

“vasectomy” - so he is a man. You’re not helping your cause by antagonizing half of the population (men).

I see. Using the browser app certainly doesn’t sound like the optimal solution, but if it works fine, then that’s great. Unfortunately that’s not feasible for my case.

Thx for the answer, that makes sense. I’m more in the mechanical sector now and don’t have much to do with silicon design.

OK, I’m really curious on what programs your engineers use then. Engineering has been one of the use-cases for me, that made it basically impossible to switch to Linux full-time. If you know, please tell me.

Yes and no. In general you are right, but there are municipalities in East Germany that had over 50% of the votes go to the AfD… which is still absolutely insane to me. I’m sure it’s the same in the USA, but cities tend to lean more left and rural regions tend to heavily favor the AfD (or slightly less/more right parties).

Over like half of the games I play with friends just do not work Linux because of anti-cheat. I hate it. I also can’t use it for work or studies since I need access to a good CAD that just works. These 2 things and a proper Adrenaline software from AMD is all I need to fully switch to Linux. I do have a dual-boot Windows/Linux PC at home, but honestly, I can barely use Linux most of the time.
Because they have a monopoly on old and especially niche knowledge/communities (also new niche knowledge/communities). As much as I hate it, that’s why I personally still have to use reddit sometimes.

Generally true, but still not true in a lot cases. Also the taste can often be really bad.

Heavily depends on where you live in Germany. It should be healthy (by law) and fairly tasty to drink everywhere in theorie, but in reality it is not. Especially depending on the landlord, old pipes can make drinking water range from tasting bad to being unhealthy. Yes, that is against the law, but landlords abusing the shit out of their position of power happens everywhere and a lot more than many probably realize.

I don’t even really want to ask, but… what happened with Tuta? I know what happened with the other 3.
Hey, idk if you have a solution for me, but UserNS is not allowed to run together with Pod anymore. Since there is so insanely little information on quadlets, I’m having a hard time starting this up. Did you update yet and found a solution to the problem? (I’m new to podman, at least I got jellyfin somewhat running haha)
