I disagree, shitty paint drawings or stickmen are million times better than AI slop. Glossy AI images suck the fun away, for me at least.
Nerdy girlthing, now in Piefed! I really enjoy chatting about games and manga :3

Went to space, fired up 2048 to kill some time during flight, missed the entire voyage

Yeah the moment Bushido clicked with me I just feel in love with it. Really surprised it managed to keep me hooked for 24 hours!

I find Zoldath similar to Nethack in a way - all these hidden interactions, quick and often hilarious deaths, and lots of procgen of course. Edit: Planet Zoldath was released in 1984, the same year as the release of Hack on Usenet.
On an unrelated note, the “I wanna be the guy” dev have their personal website at kayin.moe where they often posts about indie games. I found this blog pretty cool. There are also a few posts about UFO 50.
You weren’t lying, she’s really the best 😭💜
Holy shit I didn’t we could do this x)
love me some proper markdown support

I’m on a laptop with no numpad so I figured a controller would be better but it proved to be a bit too slow for a roguelike tbh. Was too lazy to replay the tutorial to know the keyboard controls :p

Thanks for the recommendation, and I actually already own this game on Steam but haven’t managed to get into it so far. Looking forward to giving it another try, with a keyboard this time.

The only bad thing in the whole situation is my self-control 😅

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, a superb traditional roguelike (as in, similar to Rogue, an old game). I love its design so much~
It also will release the new version soon! I’m very excited to participate in the tournament which is a part of the reason I try to avoid playing it right now. I don’t want to burn out before the tournament even starts :p

Hello Charlotte is truly a special game series, it surely had a huge influence on me when I first played it. And I miss these characters so much!!!
I just hope that it won’t destroy me with its emotional moments… or rather, that it will destroy me in the right way! I related to Charlotte and Vincent quite a lot back then~
For Omori, I wish I could get it a proper chance - I did play it once but… things didn’t work out, so to say. It wasn’t the game’s fault but I left with a bitter taste in my mouth and eventually lost my save file. Not sure if I should even give it a chance, it might absolutely annihilate me now lol.
edit: “special”, not “species” lmao

As long as you don’t give up, you can beat this ga- Shrine of Amana flashback You have a point…

I mean, if we could have as much content diversity as Reddit it would be great. But we don’t. “More of everything else” will inevitably come at a cost of the quantity of political stuff.
With that said, Lemmy has so much western politics that you won’t even notice if a quarter of it would suddenly disappear.
I love our solar feline system!

Caves of Qud vibes

Damn that’s cool! Love the artstyle. I wish my dreams were even half this fun :p
Well, the OP image looks terrible for instance.
I feel like using AI for memes is like cooking food with a flamethrower. They are much better when they are obviously low-effort. GenAI images try really hard to hide how little effort was involved in their creation.
