That’s all well and good, I was wondering about this specific headline not the general problem with conservatives.

Oh, you’re that type of person. Ok, noted.

Are we using the colloquial definition* or the definition of the person who coined the term?
*“Stuff I don’t like”

You may need to cool off and re read the entire message

Allowing this to stay up but not linking to it seems wrong. I don’t know anything about this site other than the headline but if you disagree that strongly, which seems to be the right reaction, you should ban the headlines too.

How do I find the link to the text?
Edit: apparently posting an image is ok by mods but linking isn’t, weird.
If anyone is curious since the comments on the message didn’t really make sense (headline is about republicans not women, where did the no women in your life comment come from?):
The author is asserting women don’t like star trek with zero data. The republicans part is unrelated, and is about young men skewing more conservative than women. You combine the baseless claim with unrelated data and you get the headline.

You lost that battle in about 2004 unfortunately

I appreciate that you tried to sound it out but unfortunately his name is in English so sounding it out doesn’t work :(

Well you also from context seem to be implicitly comparing a presidential system to a parliament system which had different design goals. The presidential system isn’t good but the fatal flaw is treating the president like an elected king, not how often you can vote against them. The fatal flaw is not fixing the two party system. The fatal flaw was that it was designed by people doing their best to appease southern shitbags. The fatal flaw was they made the system too hard to change.
Voting for our king every 4 years was the improvement, it was everything else that was regressive.
China

3 journalists dying in a nearly 3 year killing field isn’t exactly news. Israeli numbers were 1/wk not 1/yr, and those were often targeted hits of anyone with a visible camera. (Edit: 322 total killed in the genocide 4 Israelis killed on day 1 – so actually 2/wk)
Edit: ah, they are only counting journalists employed by someone they care about, it’s been more than that.

I don’t know how you have so many upvotes when your statement is so wrong.

God dammit Jerry
I think he just generally doesn’t want to acknowledge that he doesn’t have permission from someone.

They spend most of their time fund raising

You aren’t wrong but you’re making this sound like a universal good. I don’t particularly want to go bond with the local bbq guy who seems nice enough other than the little blue lives matter bumper sticker on his raised pickup truck. Sure he has truck nuts but it’s human contact.
The moving a couch example is kinda cringe so Im skipping.

In case you want real data rather than personal biases, the average us employee works fewer hours than the average new Zealander (or +62hr/yr ~1 hr/week if you use the oecd data). In neither dataset is the US at the top. New Zealand, Australia, and the US are all wayyy above the German/french crowd, though.
Even if the germans are taking two months off they’re still only working 6 hr/day, which explains their pay (american engineers seem to follow the pattern of 1-it sucks here->2-what about europe->3-actually, I will accept getting 3x pay for more work).
