I don’t know if Merino wool is the best use case for BIFL.
My take on wool: Wear it as long as possible, patch it and recycle or upcycle it when the time comes, and buy something that’s 100% wool instead of having synthetics mixed in, so it can be composted after use.
They pledge to defederate from Meta, I’d go one step further and defederate from any instance that federates with Meta.
I think there should be an alliance of instances that defederate from any instance that federates with Meta.

Well, technically there are apps that let you access all those services. They’re called browsers.
I’d say it could lead to some kind of revolutionary movement, but for that it would be helpful if there was already some kind of organized resistance, which I think is not the case. It’s definitely a test of Putin’s power and will show how good repression and propaganda have been. I’m afraid it’s been good and if there is a shift in power, it will just be new assholes with money and weapons, not a revolution. But we’ll see, it’s definitely interesting to watch.
