🤭 The CEO seems remarkably comfortable with causing problems at a global scale and then suggesting that humanity is resilient and that humanity will rise to the challenge of dealing with what he has done to humanity… Is this called, “a complete abdication of consideration, accountability and responsibility”? Is this something like, “Well sure I’ve destroyed something of yours, but you’re resilient. You’ll deal with it. It’s not my problem or responsibility. All I did was destroy what was yours so that I could force mine on you, instead.”?

Yes. Even reviewing quality video footage and quality audio. And to be blunt, honesty and trust are not in the top five desired traits for politicians, in general.

Keep in mind that AI is the field of study and research, and that “Information Processing Systems” is the candid, factual honest term, essentially. The techniques, apart, have existed and networking of digital technologies brings incidents of awareness of the combined technique. Humans communicate successfully without words, sometimes by as little as examining each other’s eyes. And so all of the technology that you are describing is information processing systems. The terms “formal symbolic processing systems” refers to even LibreOffice Suites; combination of spreadsheets, databases, and word document access and functions is indeed literally ‘AI.’ Neural net representations, called connectionist processing systems, and their neural architectures, are responsible for generative pretrained transformers, more widely known now as ‘AI,’ and “GPT.”

Previously two variable highlit axes (row and column) were set in motion on a screen of letters, and when the row and column intersected on a letter to be chosen, the recognition that the letter was highlit at the intersection of both axes triggered a ‘selection.’

Are we clear as we examine this occurrence that there are a series of steps which must be chosen, and a series of interdependent cogent actions which must be taken, in order to accomplish a multi-step task and produce objectives, interventions and goal achievement, even once?

While I am confident that there are abyssaly serious issues with Google and Alphabet; with their incorporated architecture and function, with their relationships, with their awareness, lack of awareness, ability to function, and inability to function aligned with healthy human considerations, ‘they’ are an entity, and a lifeless, perhaps zombie-like and/or ‘undead’ conclave/hive phenomenon created by human co-operation in teams to produce these natural and logical consequences by prioritization, resource delegation and lack of informed sound judgment.

Without actual, direct accountability, responsibility, conscience, morals, ethics, empathy, lived experience, comprehension; without uninsulated, direct, unbuffered accessibility, communication, openness and transparency, are ‘they’ not actually the existing, functioning agentic monstrosity that their products and services now conjure into ‘service’ and action through inanimate objects (and perhaps unhealthy fantasy/imagination), resource acquisition, and something akin to predation or consumption of domesticated, sensitized (or desensitized), uninformed consumer cathexis and catharsis?

It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick incorporation.
