Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What would you be willing to sacrifice for a better world?
121·8 months agoIt won’t be a better world if there’s no private property or freedom of speech or freedom to breed or freedom of thought.
The instant these freedoms are forfeited, the world becomes worse.
What’s that called?

Reformed Christianity@lemm.ee•Jesus wrestling Jacob? Christophany?English
11·8 months agoI’m not sure why people consider it a Christophany. Jesus was not incarnate yet, so I don’t think it was the 2nd person of the trinity.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Crypto is now as stable as the US economy!
28·8 months agoBecause 1) blockchain is far more secure than the older methods of xfer, 2) blockchain is faster than the current methods, and 3) blockchain is cheaper than the current methods.
I work with a few banks who are actively using this already and others who are developing the technology. Not sure where you get your information, but I can tell you first hand that banks and credit card company absolutely are using crypto right now.

5·9 months agoYeah. But what else is there?
The cars themselves are great. You’ve bought into conservative propaganda that lingers. The real problem is Musk.

Excuse me. It’s the best looking dumpster on the road.

Simplistic was basically the original proposal for a planet before it was highjacked on the last day of the convention by a bunch of scientists with an axe to grind.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you (republican) Americans feel after Trump/Vance meltdown?
551·10 months agoAs one who used to be Republican and am a real conservative… It was basically what I expected. Actually I thought they let Zelensky talk more than I thought they would.
I’m a never Trumper though. So probably not what you’re asking for.
I feel about it probably similar to you. With the added shame of the fact that my tribe has betrayed its own values and is a laughing stock of the world.
