Stern@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Mike Pence rebukes Trump over tariffs and ‘wavering’ support for Ukraine13·4 days agoHe was trying desperately to be R poster boy when he was Indiana governor to the point where the Indiana GOP told him to calm the fuck down. He wouldn’t have been as bad as Trump was but he still would have been awful.

On somethingawful back in the day if you were on any one page on their forums for more then about 20 minutes, a audio clip would play that said something like “HEY EVERYBODY I’M LOOKING AT GAY PORNO”

Egg prices are too high under Biden but we can’t expect a president to magic them down under Trump. We should be able to have vouchers for religious schools but wait why are the muslims allowed to go to their madrasas? Of course I’d never work in a factory or buy overpriced American products but we should bring back production to the United States. The list goes on.

Stacy’s mom had it going on in the early 2000’s IIRC so not like the DILF and MILF thing hasn’t existed for a while. Though obviously it wasn’t a school promoting that.

Whats wild to me is that Epic could factor in all the lessons Steam learned over near two decades resulting in a relatively equal product, but instead… doesn’t.

Two republicans voted no. Every Dem who voted, voted yes.
We may not be able to say they stopped it, but I think it’s reasonable to want them to try to.
The ol’ “Thagomizer on the chair” prank.

Stern@lemmy.worldto iiiiiiitttttttttttt@programming.dev•[Meta] How is this community different from ProgrammerHumour?7·12 days agoThe name is a holdover from its reddit origin as a spinoff of the rage comic subreddit fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu, which was condensed to f7u12 (which means the helpful shorthand here is I7T12, which is also not especially memorable, but is better then the alternative.).
Considering the lack of rage comics about IT here, I’d say its strayed far enough from its path that the name isn’t applicable anymore.

Was that the same idealism that led to the jailbait and creepshot subreddits being allowed to flourish? Or Covid misinfo? Deepfakes? The chimpire? Qanon? All that stuff definitely wasn’t operating clandestinely.
