some padles on the steering wheel to adjust power output to replace gears
What? The foot pedal adjusts power. You don’t need a replacement for gears.

I think the ideal is that it would be a conscious decision to donate more to software that needs more work. It definitely wouldn’t be good to encourage poor usability that creates more usage time. (That’s how we ended up with terribly written recipes all over the internet that make you scroll for ages before you get to the useful information)
2/9 of 90 is 20…

I guess I’m just poking fun at what I see as a dumb line of argument that derails constructive discussion. Trying to strawman someone’s argument by suggesting they mean all men/women is not productive.

I’m an albatraoz
The music is slop, but the words are just aggravating and seem to have had little though put into them.

I mean, you’ll never really get the full story of anything if it requiers every adjacent detail, there’s just too much detail in any event to document it all. So, I think it’s more that being queer is an important part of this story because queer people have been marginalised. Which means it’s important that they have good representation and their achievements are celebrated.

I don’t think it’s that common to own a functioning printer anymore

The breakers aren’t on the actual outlets. We just have everything on breakers in the power box. So I think the Australian system is good, but it’s not inherently because of the outlets. Other types have the same safety benefits.

I’m afraid if you’re still breathing, then you’re still a participant.
Hmm, OK. Guess I’ll probably have to switch soon then
RiMusic is still working fine for me

I wouldn’t put it past them to invent stuff, but I also wonder if they asked an AI for a summary and the AI invented it for them…

I was confused because it’s such a bad take… That’s not what 15 minute cities are about. That’s just the dumb conspiracy theories.

… it conditions people for 15 minute cities and other forms of tyranny
Are you saying you think the idea of having all important services within 15 minutes is tyranny?
Meditation/mindfulness can really help If you get stuck ruminating about something and/or are dealing with anxiety. It was a fad recently, but there’s some real science behind a multitude of benefits from it. There’s a free app called Medito and I found the Headspace Guide to Meditation to be very informative.
I think the be careful what you do on Facebook is implied. He’s highlighting something that’s less expected, where you may need to be careful what you do on Windows systems.
I guess most methods of attack on a FOSS projects are independent of the country of origin. But, I could still see them being forced to do things they don’t want in the US, without being able to tell anyone. Hopefully if that ever happened it wouldn’t be too hard to detect, but you never know.
The science has moved on from the time we called it junk DNA. It’s definitely not junk and we now understand at least some of the reasons it exists.
The harms of radiation on humans are well understood. Of course, with high amounts of radiation we would likely evolve mechanisms to handle it, but that takes many generations. That fungus would have had many generations since the Chernobyl disaster happened, but we haven’t. So, you can’t really draw any conclusions about humans from this study.
