I followed disclosure for a while and it seemed to be mostly grifters. The big reveal never comes, meanwhile they are raking in the cash writing books and attending conferences. Some of them even have ridiculous shows on the “history” channel.

I think it’s more about attachment. We suffer because we get attached to feelings, desire, etc. When we should realize, those, along with most things, are ephemeral, or “not real”. I don’t think it is that Buddhist can’t have desire or are indifferent, but that they strive for lack of attachment. That’s probably a gross oversimplification and, like most religions, there are many different sects.

Gave it up about a month ago. The only reason I miss it is marketplace and getting local community news. Also local events are advertised there as well. I was trying to think of a way to get it back in a very anonymized way and block as much of the app as possible. I have adguard DNS, and a throw away email so I may do that.

I can think of two possibilities, either they think don’t get in the way when your enemy is making a mistake. If they can get to 2026, maybe it will be a democratic landslide. I’m sorry but this can’t be correct. I live within 30 minutes of two minor cities with plenty to do and me and my wife combined make around 100k. We live comfortably and have 50k in the bank in addition to retirement. We also have one kid. This is highly dependent on where you live. I am not saying the cost of housing,etc is not a problem but some of these numbers need to be put in context.

I lost my father some weeks ago, and a neighbor we were close to passed away during Christmas as well. Thank you for this. I’ve felt surrounded by death and have been in a pretty bad place, this post brought me joy.
