highly recommend the tascam DR-40x
works as an interface and has two XLR input as well as e excellent built in microphones
and manual recording level control so it doesn’t abruptly cut the level if the show gets loud
only thing I don’t love is how it runs on AA batteries-- still, has decent battery life and I’ve been meaning to get rechargeable AAs for it

i liked how the budget was all clearly spent on the 3d stop motion dinosaur fight, so that when they needed it to look like the ewoks were talking, they made the little people dressed up in the ewok suits stick their tongues through the mouth holes of their cheap ass costumes. truly an accidental masterpiece of horror.
