You can’t have two identical usernames in the same instance. So you won’t have John@mastodon.social twice. Buy you could have John@mastodon.social and John@mastodon.world, for example.

Mannivu@feddit.itto Open Source@lemmy.ml•Are there any maps apps that rip data from Google Maps?7·1 year agoI understand what you mean and I agree that in those cases GMaps is more useful. But then, if no one adds anything OSM database will always be empty. So, if you don’t find something, use GMaps, that’s fine. But then, what you were looking for should be added to OSM (after real-life checks, since GMaps cannot be used as a source) to help future users.

I really love the design of this app, but it’s still missing a “Older first” settings which is keeping me from using it.

This War of Mine isn’t good for neither. But it’s an amazing game and I agree, it’s built to make you fail. But how else will it let you feel how civilians feel in a war if it was easy to win?
Mannivu@feddit.itto Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Save 85% on This War of Mine on SteamEnglish10·1 year agoThis War of Mine is a great game. It’s frustrating searching homes, making bad decisions (i.e. killing other civilians) and then finding nothing for your home group. It perfectly gives a sense of sadness as a civilian in a war.

Here in Northern Italy near Bergamo, we have something called “Gratacornia”, an half human-half goat creature, which was used to scare kids. The Gratacornia waits for the kid on top of the stairs in darkness and scratches his hooves with his long horns (Gratacornia is formed merging “Grata”=to scratch and “Cornia”=horns).

Yes, it happened to me once. I dreamed I was the main character in GTA: San Andreas, but I wasn’t CJ, I was myself inside the game. It was pretty weird, but stealing a truck was amazing.
