To the Limit is definitely a lesser PM Entertainment movie, but it still contains gunfights, explosions and car chases, so watching it isn’t a total waste of time. Oh, and naturally there’s plenty of naked skin as well.

B Movie Bonanza@lemmy.world•Timecop 2: The Berlin Decision (2003)English
6·11 days agoJCVD is nowhere to be found here, and it only has a fraction of the original’s budget, but this direct-to-video sequel actually does the time-traveling cop concept more justice than the first movie did.
This should be available for streaming through Ama$on.

A cheap cyborg actioner from Sam Firstenberg, the director of such B-movie classics as American Ninja 1 and 2, Ninja III: The Domination, Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo, etc. etc.
Cyborg Cop should be available for streaming on Tubi.

B Movie Bonanza@lemmy.world•Zombie Self-Defense Force (2006)English
5·1 month agoSure, this Japanese zombie movie was cheaply made, but it’s got the two most important hallmarks of the genre right: solid make-up FX and lots of goop/blood.

B Movie Bonanza@lemmy.world•Alligator (1980) - Mastodon watch party this Sunday evening!English
5·1 month agoThe movie in which Henry Silva emulates the sound of an alligator in heat…
It’s a fun one!
I’m glad you had a good time with this. :)
A B-movie with its tongue firmly placed in its cheek. Killer Rack isn’t sleazy at all (there’s actually only one instance of real boob exposure), but it’s witty and it has a lot of heart.
Well worth seeking out.
Killer Rack can be found on Tubi and Ama$on.

Why, hello Mr Kaufman

B Movie Bonanza@lemmy.world•Ninja Cheerleaders (2008)English
22·2 months agoA very cheap and kind of goofy action-comedy about a group of girlfriends who are on the college cheerleading squad and who also happen to be ninjas.

4·2 months agoRoger Corman-directed post-apocalyptic monster-schlock is my kind of schlock.
This should be available for streaming on Tubi/Ama$on.

B Movie Bonanza@lemmy.world•Alienator: The Ultimate Terminator (1990)English
8·2 months agoEntertaining science fiction schlock directed by Fred Olen Ray. The titular Alienator is played by female bodybuilder Teagan Clive, who walks around in a ridiculous “machine bikini” the entire movie.
Definitely watch the trailer. ⬆️
The movie should be available for streaming on Tubi.

As per Wikipedia:
Doctor Mordrid is a 1992 American superhero film directed by Albert and Charles Band, and starring Jeffrey Combs. The film was originally intended to be an adaptation of Marvel Comics’ DOCTOR STRANGE, but the studio’s rights expired during pre-production. Full Moon elected to still produce the movie, with the character renamed, and enough other changes made to avoid a lawsuit.

Primitive War has a considerably higher budget than the movies that I usually post in this community, but I still believe it deserves to be mentioned here. Even if it isn’t a B-movie in the truest definition, it definitely is spiritually. It’s basically a Syfy dino-actioner on steroids.
Can be streamed/rented (?) in North-America through Ama$on.

Richard Stanley’s (Color Out of Space and partially The Island of Dr. Moreau) western-influenced post-apocalyptic cyberpunk flick is a genre classic. Plain and simple.

B Movie Bonanza@lemmy.world•Wasp Woman In Tokyo (2011)English
3·3 months agoI watched this without subtitles on some pinku eiga website. I doubt that there’s an English-friendly release available somewhere.
I do know that Japanese streaming services like U-next have started using LLMs to offer auto-translated subtitles, but they still tend to be on the word salad spectrum.
Honestly, I could follow this pretty well without subtitles. It’s a silly B-movie after all. 😉

B Movie Bonanza@lemmy.world•Wasp Woman In Tokyo (2011)English
14·3 months agoA Japanese rendition of the Roger Corman classic. Wasp Woman in Tokyo adds a tiny bit of sleaze and also a romance angle. It’s actually not the softcore trash that you might think it is. It is, however, extremely cheap.

I believe this was released directly to video, so you missing it is understandable. ;)
