Permaban.
Hi, we’re @Anzo (/a), @federalreverse (/f), and @poVoq (/p)!

Permaban.

Some accounts act like bots, bringing content “automagically”. We have no rule against that. It’s only considered spam when their post have commercial interest. In some particular cases, if it’s political interest (not spam, but propaganda) it might be that we remove the content and/ or ban the user. This post is neither case imho. I’ll ignore your report, don’t be mad. Thanks for the concern though.

We received a report for Racism, but we are not removing this comment as such to encourage discussion… a way more efficient way to fight propaganda and bigotry. Please keep it civil.
Unfortunately, many people believe that immigrants are the ones driving criminality (e.g. knife attacks) yet the reality is that there are as many knife attacks done by Germans. Only media (e.g. Bild) are amplifying and showing a distorted view on society because of political interests. For example, the last attack was done by a german person and instead of being labeled as terrorist they called it a person with psicological problems :/
Cheers, anzo

The site is satire, just look at the archive of their posts (e.g. “Hamas offers to negotiate peace between […]”
Even if there are “facts” that are the base for the article, we’d have to remove it. I am only keeping it here so that y’all know THIS IS WRONG. OP will get a ban for 7 days.
From the site “About” section, last paragraph:
Normal Island News is a politically-neutral publication which is why it simps so hard for Liz Truss. You will be pleased to know it is a registered charity so the four billionaires who fund it can deduct their contributions from their tax returns. With a 42% reliability rating, it is considered the most accurate newsletter in existence. You should sign up today so that you never miss an article, it will change your life forever x

I found two decisions on BDS:

Sexual assault and rape are not the same thing, and the latter was your claim, “systemic use of rape”.

Thanks. So, to me, from the sources you linked, it seems “systemic abuses/torture” is justifiable claim. “Systemic rape” seems like a claim that might be over the line — even as raping prisoners is apparently accepted among certain strata of Israeli society. /f

applies systemic rape and torture to the ‘prisoners’
Is there a source for that?

The problem is that people is unable to find where to put their despair (in this case, support for Palestine) to real and concrete action. So, instead of joining Red Cross or something, they come here to fight the moderation team (i.e. calling us Nazis or assuming we support EU nations giving weapons to a state that’s been accused of genocide). This is because we happened to draw a line as to “how” you should criticize Zionism.

I see where the humor comes in but that doesn’t really change the mod decision, neither does it make sense to mod weeks after. /f

Mmh… what did you expect? There was a mod comment under your comment for the better part of a day and “retarded” is in pretty much every single list of ableist language.
/f

The numbers are fine, but :/
Since I can’t pin @fluxx1@lemm.ee’s comment:
The article is new. However, it is about ESC 2024 rather than yesterday’s event.
/f

@RelativityRanger@lemmy.ca Please add a source URL for the map (rules 2 & 10). Thanks!
/f

a retarded conservative
Could you remove the ableist slur, please? /f

@mriswith@lemmy.world It would indeed be great if you could avoid throwing around such accusations. There surely is a time & a place for such but …
Thanks!
(This comment written by federal reverse, not anzo.)

Thanks! For the record, I don’t doubt it and it was on German news as well. The rule exists to protect us against people posting old/miscontextualized pictures – again, to be clear: I don’t think you were doing that at all.
/f

Please remove the insult, thanks.

@cm0002@lemmy.world Given the circumstances, could you editorialize the title a little, i.e. “EU preparing to impose much higher tariffs on imports from Ukraine” or similar?
Ftr: The original FT article that gives a bit more detail.

There’s been reports for this link to be an ad… we’re allowing it nonetheless because the discussion is very rich (I, personally agree with many of the criticism that were done: products may not be socially or environmentally friendly, or even it may be better to support an European artist). The EU parliament is more like a tool, and sometimes it does work well. Oftentimes it just makes decisions that are not aligned with our values as a community. Nonetheless, the EU flag is nowadays an important symbol that’s being undermined by bigots and propaganda. That’s why I’ve been ignoring the reports of this as an ad. I believe the underlying message to be more important. And, as I said, the discussion here has brought very good points that I wouldn’t have thought so just by myself.
Best regards, anzo.
