  • Googling so many “how do I do X?” type of questions have top-results of 10-minute videos where someone has their cluttered Desktop in full 1920x1080 and then they open the tiny command prompt in a small window (it’s clear they have no idea how to record a video), where they clumsily type commands they clearly don’t understand, and fumble through the entire process.

I just needed a single command. It should have been a 1-second result at the top of search, not shitty videos or SEO dynamically-generated shit site that are trying to sell me something.

  • The old Pfizer doses would shut me down for 3 days.

    Fever, chills, body aches, fatigue.

The first shot wasn’t so bad. The second and third were insane.

I’m pretty sure I’ve had a fourth shot, but I don’t remember how I felt. I think I got covid last year, after already having the third shot, and I’ve been dealing with symptoms for over a year now (mostly muscle fatigue).

I want the new shot with the new variant mix, but I’m also afraid of how I’m going to react to it. I have too much going on at work and home right now to take half a week off for the shot.

I have a pretty crummy immune system and have always dealt with autoimmune issues, so it’s important that I get the shot, even if I react badly to it. :/

  • my unpopular(?) opinion:

dogs are slobbery, stinky, and loud and you have to take them outside a lot and they aren’t always compatible with many living situations. plus there is a certain dangerous breed that completely fills up shelters beyond capacity and has a weird cult-like following.

kitties are like perpetual cute babies and are way, way easier to take care of.

you see sites like reddit or lemmy or youtube or whatever fill up with so many cat pictures and videos for a reason.

I am also a cat & dog parent. Dealing with our dogs over the past few months has been significantly more stressful than dealing with our cats. Take the 4th of July, for example. Our cats didn’t like the noise from fireworks, but were mostly fine. Our dog was beyond terrified. I couldn’t get her to go potty outside because she refused to go out there. I also had to sleep next to her in her crate to comfort her. We have to take her with us if we will be gone for a while or find someone to watch her.
