I don’t subscribe to a lot of meme communities. And I guess I have been less active in general around here the past few months.
Now that you mentioned it though, thinking back there has been a sudden stop of posts from !linguistics@mander.xyz etc that I should have noticed. Let’s do my usual copout and blame ADHD.
We should do something about it! We need a new community on another server! At best an instance that is predicted to be stable and not world or ml.

I think I read earlier It was a server that got taken down. I believe they’re trying to see if they can restore the data because the last local backup was kind of dated. There was like police involved stuff in another country so it gets kind of murky with communications I think. Hopefully in time it will be back though?
What happened to that server?
Last I heard their hosting provider was a Russian hosting provider in a danish hosting provider trenchcoat and was taken down like 2 months ago and their last backup was very old
2 months ago ? How come I haven’t realised it. This was the first place that got me into me. I would scroll there even before making a Lemmy account.
