Lemme put this in terms you might understand:

You know how like, in Israel, there are “labor zionists,” the people who live in kibbutzim on occupied land and benefit from immigrant slave labor… and how the Israeli “left” is only really left for issues involving Israeli citizens and their only complaint about the right is that they’re committing genocide on a scale that is beyond excessive (beyond the acceptable amount of genocide).

This is exactly how I have come to view most of the American left.

I think we should state the obvious: if we can accept that it cannot be tolerated for leftists to hold any position that maintains that the state of Israel should exist, even a two state solution, then we should apply the same logic to the United States.

Anyone who doesn’t support the destruction of the United $$naKKKe$$ of AmeriKKKa is a supporter of imperialism.

If it’s between the global South and Americans, then I don’t give a fuck about the AmeriKKKan$$.

When I first saw the image in this post I upvoted thinking it was making fun of people with no room in their heads for nuance, but then I opened the post and saw that it was not ironic at all. Lol. Lmao even.

None of these people disagreeing with me can even articulate why I might be wrong, because they know it’s true. The (white) American left is only concerned with, at best, building social democracy for American citizens. They will not talk about unequal exchange or the monopoly power of their financial system, they don’t want to think about the idea that they’re a settler colonialist project, they don’t want to think that “veterans” are really child murderers, or that they benefit from being part of the consumerist organ of global capitalism. At best they acknowledge these things in passing, wish something could be done about it, sigh, and then go right back to supporting stuff that only benefits them.

The fact that they are stuck between two fences like this is the reason they don’t do anything, and they just let things slowly get worse.

How is this not true? How can anyone possibly reconcile supporting the existence of the US government as being compatible with leftism?
