They need to deport a handful of people by the General Election, so they can claim “job done”, and they’ll pretty much do anything to achieve those ends. It’s sickening to watch them destroy lives to try and get a few more votes of Reform from the worst people.

It’s morally bankrupt and I hope they’ve messed up somewhere so it not only gets binned but they get prosecuted.

Alternative Nitter link for people who want to see the fascist tweet, but don’t want to do so on a fascist website: https://nitter.poast.org/ukhomeoffice/status/1785635671316537510

(Yes, I know Nitter is dead. No, I don’t know why this instance is still working.)

Why film people in this way? It’s dehumanising. These are people who have done nothing wrong and have been confirmed to legitimately need asylum. People who don’t need asylum are returned to their countries of origin.

General community for news/discussion in the UK.

Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think “reputable news source” needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
