Yeah, I’m optimistic. The last Puss in Boots movie was great, and this looks pretty good. I just really, really hope they don’t make it about about the children like Shrek 4. I want a good story with Shrek/Fiona/Donkey that doesn’t involve them learning to accept and love their weird children or something.

I haven’t seen the trailer, but I think the best path for a new Shrek movie would actually be to focus on his kids even more. Reveal what it was that made Shrek into an angry recluse at the beginning of the first movie and have the same thing happen to one of his kids. Make the movie about Shrek trying to prevent the kid from having to live the same kind of life that he did before Donkey, Fiona, etc.

I think they should make it gay like the second one and trans like the first one.

So anyway, the original idea of Shrek was to make fun of Disney’s fairy tales, right? Well what’s the movie industry up to lately? What bland trends have become society’s monoculture?

That’s right, superheroes and star wars. What I’m saying is, they should make the bad guy a rich capitalist homophobic superhero named Elton Stank. And the central conflict should be that one of the kids has decided to become neo-nazi!

Well. The years start coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop

That version of the song gets stuck in my head for entirely too long entirely too often… Thanks for putting it back there ಠ_ಠ
