You must have missed out on the 2014 campaign then. The GOP hated trump.
True, but in 2014, Donald was a similar upstart candidate, and one with a history of supporting progressive causes and cozying up with Democrats.
We now know that Donald is whoever he surrounds himself with, but at the time, the politics made it make sense for Republicans to oppose him.
