Whenever the weather is sunny, it makes it much more difficult for me to find motivation to go outside and do things. I hate the bright sun in my eyes. I also hate how the heat gets trapped in vehicles when the sun shines into them, making them less pleasant to be in.

On the other hand, the cloudy days are a lot more relaxing, and result in cooler temperatures that are more pleasant to exist in and don’t wear me down. The light is much more even when the sun isn’t in the way, eliminating the need for sunglasses.

Sure, the sun helps you make Vitamin D, but we have food and supplements. If Mr. Blue Sky by ELO is really the happiest song, it should be about cloudy days. :P Don’t make me a deity in charge of the weather unless you want cloudy days for the rest of your life.

For most of the year, yes, agreed, but the hot summers days here are absolutely brutal , especially in the last 5 or so years.

Ironically, hot days are more of an issue to me now than they were back when I was living in a country where August temps would hit low-mid 50s. (That’s the negative part of the tradeoff; I would still take England weather over the desert heat, since walking outside is very possible and doesn’t kill you.)
