I’ve just bought 3 ebooks wrote by Becky Chambers. One of her books is a collection of short stories. Ill start tonight with this one, and if her stories are good, i’ll contzct her to ask her if she’s OK for an interview for my blog SFSS.
On reddit & amazon, i see a crapton of comments saying shes a great authors.
A question for those of us who have read some of her books: is it good, and if yes why? What makes her unique, etc etc write what u want to write about her.
Me personnaly i cant wait to read the three books of Becky i just bought.

I love her writing! Monk & Robot captures such a cozy solarpunk vibe. To the extent it might feel preachy to some, but I find it comforting and wholesome.
Long Way to a Small and Angry Planet was also a breath of fresh air. Becky Chambers clearly wants to help us imagine what the world looks like when we embrace difference with understanding instead of fear.

Please tell me more about her books. Good writing is very very important. A lot of old pulp stories i published on SFSS are badly written.

‘Trev-R pointed the gun in their direction. ‘I’d leave quietly if I were you,’ he advised them in his most menacing tone.
The alleybashers looked annoyed but not intimidated. Trev-R knew they did not even recognize his weapon. The one with the knife spun his victim around in Iront of him to act as a shield. The other one started to grope inside his raincoat.
‘Blast outa this, grampers!’ sneered the knifeman. ‘Fly yer own spacelanes. and ye might live to see the sun come out.’ The second thug pulled out a slugthrower.
There was no one else in the place this evening. Slainte, a white-haired old troll of a man with abnormally developed arms, came over to see if they wanted anything. Trev-R ordered a bottle of Cthonian whiskey for himself and another of R-thing Cola for the kid. Along with drinks, he ordered two plates of grits and pseudoburgers as a meal. ‘You’re buying, kid. O.K.?’

Damn, im hyped af, brothers & sisters. Plus its a woman. On SFSS, there is only one story written by a chick. Ill start reading tonight & ill give my first impressions here. i hope some of u have read her books.
